Round Pump
My 257 roberts has scrapes along the slide where the pump action is?
It seems the pump to chamber a round is scraping the metal
It doesn’t appear to be cutting deep, but it’s making silver streaks on the black metal 
Is there a way to prevent this or is this just what happens when you have a pump action?
That is simply normal wear and tear.
Oil that baby up and get out and have some fun.
The gun is Blued and friction/heat cause the Blueing to wear/fade
Don’t worry about it in the least but just always make sure to keep your rifle well oiled to
ensure no corrosion ever develops in exposed areas.
