Is it fun to play on a small pool table?
I’m planing on buying a 90 inch (7.5 ft) by 50 inch (4.2 ft) pool table and i was wondering if it is big enough for home use. Im mostly buying it to have fun and do something with some friends but i was worried that if the table is too small then it won’t be fun. I have found a good deal on the table but am just worried that i might be too small to play “real” pool on. Any advice?
Pool’s fun on any size table, if it’s flat and the cushions are good. The smaller table will make it easier to make balls since your shots are going to be shorter. On the other hand, there’s a greater chance for having clusters of balls where none of them have a clear path in the pocket. The only concern I would have is that the bed is probably not slate, so it may warp over time with changes in temperature and humidity which would cause the balls not to roll straight where they’re expected to go.
