Exploring Some of the New Technologies in Inground Pools That are Continually Being Developed
There was a time in the not too distant past when if you wanted an inground pool installed at you home or place of business, there was basically only one rout to take. You hired a hopefully honest pool contractor and kept your fingers crossed in the hopes that the finished product was of satisfactory quality. The diggers dug. Then ironwork was done and plumbing installed. The pool was gunnited with sprayed on cement and then it was covered with a smooth finish of cement. That was a basic pool and if you wanted anything more, such as decorative tile work and a slide or diving board you had to dig even deeper in your purse or wallet. All this easily ran into the tens of thousands of dollars, which left it well out of reach for far too many households and businesses.

The good news is that was then and this is now, because custom pool designers, engineers and materials scientists have all been hard at work designing and creating ways for people to now have a beautiful inground pool installed for a fraction of the cost of yesterdays inground pools.
Works Better and Looks Better
Their first task was to eliminate the costly cement and ironwork that goes into older style inground pools and replace it with newly developed, decorative, thick, high tech vinyl liners that not only function better then cement but also look worlds better at the same time.
Far Less Expensive and Last the Life of the Pool
Decorative tile work that used to have to be meticulously laid in one tile at a time has now been replaced by vastly superior vinyl tile work that is manufactured right into the extra thick vinyl pool liner. Not only does it look the same as ceramic time but there is no worry about deteriorating grout lines.
Maintenance Free
What many people are unaware of, is that a cement lined pool is a virtual lifetime maintenance commitment. Even with the help of a state of the art automatic pool cleaner, once a cement pool is filled with water it will begin to deteriorate, unless meticulous care is taken to prevent it. Newly designed vinyl pool liners not only look fantastic but they are also virtually maintenance free.
