Chlorine Feeder
How can I keep my pool from going green every few days:?
I recently (May) purchased an inflatable pool 16′x42″. The only thing I initally treated with was liquid chlorine and it kept it clear. After running out of that and unable to locate it where I had originally bought it, I decided to buy a feeder to place 1″ tablets in. I also purchased some shock and some algaecide. I treated it with the shock (purchased the wrong kind; and it bleached the bottom of my liner out) I put the algaecide in and it is still hazy. Can someone give me a recommendation of what I need to do? I am getting very frustrated. Would like to get it clear asap as it is hot and the kids are dying to go in. I’ve already spent enough on the products that I have and I have a feeling I will digging deeper in my pockets to get it right. HELP!!!!
Well not knowing what your chemical levels are in the pool right now it’s hard to say. If you have a pool store anywhere close by then take a sample of water down to them and ask them to test for the following:
Total chlorine
Free chlorine
Combined chlorine
pH
Alkalinity
Hardness
Cyanuric acid
Total dissolved solids
Metals
Phosphates
Bring these results back and post them here or feel free to email them to me at robandliz1992@yahoo.com and I’ll be more than happy to help you out with inexpensive ways to maintain your pool in pristine condition.
I’d give more of an answer but there’s too many factors to consider at this point in time, especially with the added chemicals that you’ve used.
