I have an intex easy set 16 ft, just under 4000 gal pool & have problem with algae and sand at bottom?
I have an intex easy set 16 ft, just under 4000 gal pool. I know nothing about cleaning the sand and algae out of the bottom and the pool place I go has suggested several thing and I have tried the pool cleaner, though a bit cheesy works somewhat, and purchased one that goes thru my cartridge filter but then shoots it back as it seems to be to fine to catch. Any suggestions? Last thing I added was Ultra Bright Enhancer. Thx for any help on this!! P
i own a pool company.to get rid of algae turn off pump take out cartridge and hose it down next put filter back together and brush the walls and bottom .add algaecide by walking around edge of pool pour ing in.add some to skimmer closest to pump.run pool 24 hours.next day clean filter.then dissolve one (1) pound of granulated chlorine in full bucket of water.do this two (2) more times.one pound per bucket.run pool 24 hours.third day water cloudy? use water clairifier the way you did algeacide same way run pool 24 hours.if you need more help e mail me jldailey2000@yahoo.com save this so you dont forget
